Abstract

The present-day power systems face an essential challenge regarding sustainable energy management because it involves finding the best equilibrium between supply and demand while being mindful of environmental impacts. The article demonstrates optimized mathematical models which synthesize renewable power generation together with storage facilities and demand-control to achieve efficiency gains. The evaluation reviews linear programming (LP) and mixed-integer programming (MIP) as well as machine learning-based optimization as different optimization techniques. The study uses a three-dimensional framework from economics together with environmental science and engineering to strengthen energy sustainability. The models find practical use in real-life situations through documented case studies.
